The fuselage is covered, thanks to Dad and the pilot painted, courtesy of Mum. This is turning into a family effort!

The instruments were done as simply as possible. I scaled down some gauges from an online catalogue and printed them onto water transfer paper. They were stuck onto 1mm ply to give a raised effect before gluing onto the panel. I used a standard layout. Those with a keen eye will see that the instruments are modern.

I'll have a go at making a map to go somewhere in the cockpit next, followed by the decals on the fuselage.

With the registration on and nose painted, it's looking like a proper plane.

After a year's off-and-on building, it's almost complete. A burst of energy this afternoon found both wings covered. All that's left is to attach the ailerons, dope the wings and paint the tips. Then it's waiting for the first reasonably warm weekend.
