Just to remind us of Summer. This is how hot a black object can get on our hottest day of Summer; Not quite hot enough to cook it fully as the egg was out of the fridge and its coolness killed the heat in the pan.

Zagi “Sky Writer”: 1 min 32 secs, 4.35MB The ultimate night flying machine. This one can scroll pre-programmed messages (or display the current time) across the bottom of the wing. Requires a bit more of a breeze because the additional electronics brings the total weight up to 1260g(!)

Submitted by : Richard Christopher

Shockflyer (or should that be Scottflyer): 1 min 1 sec, 3.35MB 12 year old Scott Christopher flying his Edge 540 ‘shocky’ on a foggy day at Middle Wallop.

Submitted by : Richard Christopher

Night soarer with built-up structure: 1 min 17 secs, 3.24MB A short video of Roy Harrowell’s solution to night soaring. Roy constructed a ‘Built-Up Zagi’ with LED’s mounted inside the structure to illuminate the entire solarfilm covered wing. This Zagi is light in both senses of the word - it shows up in the dark well and weighs about 70% of an EPP version!

PSS Phantom: 56 seconds, 3.37MB Alisdair demonstrates his PSS Phantom at Alton Barnes. This model features some excellent scale detailing and looks very realistic flying along the valley. Oh yes…it’s quite tough too!

Focke Wulf 190: 31 secs, 1.4MB A sad tale, but it does contain a lesson – think twice before flying in mist or fog.

Night Fighter: 55 seconds, 2.29MB The second comedy classic: a video of Alisdair’s latest night flyer – “Zagi Night Writer” (equipped with scrolling message display!) Brave cameraman, Richard, “caught” all the action in this movie. This video has the most “impact” of the series so far! The focusing was “bang” on. Alisdair really makes an “impression” with this model!

Submitted by : Richard & Alisdair

OK, here's the deal. You strap a model jet engine to each of your boots, fill two hot water bottles with fuel and hide in your overalls, start the engines and jump out of a balloon at 7,000 ft. That's the script, now watch the movie!

Don’t Panic : 4 mins 06 secs, 14.2MB A Williams/Strong comedy moment involving ‘tail chasing’, spinning and ……. well you’ll have to watch and see!

Hydeaway - “pilot’s eye view”: 5 mins 59 secs, 21.9MB Ever wondered what it would be like to be inside the cockpit of your model plane whilst performing aerobatics? This video footage from on board Richard Christopher’s EZ Hydeaway shows just that! The video has taken many hours of work, and without Alisdair Binning’s know-how and enthusiasm would never have been achieved.

Hydeaway Synchro Pair: 3 mins 1 sec, 11.1MB Video footage from on board Richard Christopher’s EZ Hydeaway, with Andy Waterhouse’s Hydeaway following along behind. Watch for the near miss and formation landing.

Super Little Biplane: 2 mins 53 secs, 9.5MB A short film of a Potensky ‘Uzi X’ biplane. This lightweight model uses a CD-ROM motor for power, and Richard says this is the best all round park flyer he’s ever flown. It flies with precision yet is capable of pretty much any manoeuvre in the book!

First take off – water in rear float: 1 min 12 seconds 3 MB: I did not realise that there was a small hole in the rear float, which allowed the water in and caused a severe tale heavy first flight. It all calmed down as I circuited and the water drained out over the next couple of min’s and all was ok in the end. (No Sound)
